Obesity in U.S. children has increased over the last 14 years. This upward trend is particularly troubling as it carries heart disease risk in children and adolescents, which may be difficult to treat. As research has shown early childhood to be a critical time to introduce healthy foods into the diet, kids should start early with eating all kinds of fruits and vegetables so it won’t get harder as they get older.
