Granulation Operator 2nd Shift

Summary: Granulation Operator will follow and understand granulation and milling procedures and confirm that all materials are granulated and milled correctly and to the required specifications. The Granulation Operator will also ensure that all GMP, GDP, consistency and productivity levels are met on a daily basis

Shift Schedule: Monday to Friday 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have the ability to follow instructions and understand Granulation Manufacturing Procedure as instructed on each batch ticket and how to verify all materials on the batch ticket
  • Must have the ability to operate a pallet jack
  • Ability to clean and sanitize all equipment, rooms and tools and have QA verify and sign all required equipment, rooms and tools prior to starting a batch
  • Know how to spread the material on a tray with drug bond paper and know how to place the trays on a rack
  • Know how to clean the Drying Oven “Drying Rack Trays” and know how to properly store the product
  • Know how to setup mixing equipment as per batch ticket
  • Must be able to follow mixing and milling instructions and know how to fill out all required production documents
  • Must be able to assemble/disassemble and wash the “Ribbon Blender” and understand all the safety features
  • Know how to assemble/disassemble and wash the “Hobart Mixer and Blade” and understand all the safety features
  • Know and able to assemble/disassemble and wash the “Fitzmill’ and understand all the safety features
  • Must be able to identify unusual materials and communicate any issues to the Lead and/or Manager
  • Executes proper shift change and communicates all information pertaining to the operator’s area of responsibility
  • Anticipates and minimizes down time to ensure completion of order in a timely manner
  • Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance
  • Ensures that work area is clean and organized at all times
  • Communicates solutions and ideas on how to improve department to the Department Manager
  • Performs all duties in compliance with safety rules, SOPs and cGMPs
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Educational Qualification:

  • Some High school credit or general education degree (GED); or six to 11 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Skills / Experience: 

  • Physical ability to stand/walk/push/pull and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to climb stairs
  • Perform job duties that require constant attention to manufacturing process
  • Adjust to distractions and interruptions and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
