Are Vitamin C and E supplements good for exercise?

Previous research published in Nutrition suggested that vitamin C and E supplements are good for exercise, and both are antioxidants that boost the immune system. However, some findings show that vitamins C and E blunted the endurance training-induced increase of mitochondrial proteins, which are needed to improve muscular endurance, especially if you are taking endurance training. While future studies are needed to determine the underlying mechanisms of these results, researchers are hooked with concern for those hoping that supra-physiological doses of vitamins C and E might be all that’s needed to counter this oxidative stress and allow improved endurance performance.
