GOED Exchange: Future Omega-3 Forms May Target Organs and Cells
Far removed from traditional pure and refined fish oils are new omega-3 forms. The Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3 (GOED) spoke how these future omega-3 products can captive marketers. Although research will need to confirm if these forms all offer potential for improved absorption especially in targeting specific tissues in the body, or organs — pharmaceuticals are already gaining interest in the new forms and manufacturers getting increasingly creative with this development. The omega-3 market has experienced impressive growth, and these future omega-3 forms all seem to compete in this fashion with some appearing to reach the gut more efficiently and others appearing to actual target of specific cells.
